Will decide on joining politics after June: Ramdev

Coimbatore: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Thursday said he will decide on his entry into the political arena after June.

However, Ramdev said, he will not seek power or any post if at all a "platform" was formed.

The yoga guru told reporters he want to cleanse the system and if a political party is formed, he will field candidates in all the 534 Lok Sabha seats in the next general elections.

"They could be from different political parties or fields, who would be clean, non-corrupt and work to wipe out corruption," said Ramdev, who is also the chief of 'Bharat Swabhiman', a social and spiritual movement.

Once these candidates are elected, the face of India will change totally and it will become a corruption-free nation, he claimed.

On the term 'saffron terrorism', Ramdev said saffron is the colour of the clothes worn by saints who practiced nationalism and not terrorism.

@P K - Allahabad, How can you be sure that he is looking for free advertisement?

Does that mean deep down in your heart, you would rather let congress rule for another 10 years and let your country carry on falling? Does your inner self tell you that the country is doing well and dealing with poverty?

If so why are there still millions of people without simple water, food and medicine?

We indians are very quick to point fingers at others but slow to deal with the problems ourself.

Easy said hard done! My supports with ramdev, no matter what happens, at least we trying something new instead of 50 years of NOTHING!

Baba is serving the country in the best possible manner any there is nothing wrong in entering politics. What is core competency in this country where dynastic politics rules. What is the core competency of Madam sonia and our PM by that logic they are also in the wrong profession.

One should stick to one`s area of core competency, and should not stray around for cheap popularity.

I gather Ramdev is also like ``any other fellow in the crowd`` looking for a free advertisement.

Hope commonfolk will be beware of this.
