New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday said that there are many factors which contributed to the party's loss in the Delhi Assembly elections and added that it would introspect.
"There are probably many factors which will contribute to our loss in the elections. Our leadership will look into the factors because of which BJP lost in Delhi," said party spokesperson Nalin Kohli.
Earlier on Wednesday, BJP leader and former IPS officer Kiran Bedi blamed the 'fatwa' issued by Jama Masjid Shahi Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari for her loss in the Delhi Assembly polls.
On Friday, Imam Bukhari had allegedly issued a 'fatwa' and appealed to the Muslim community in the national capital to support the Arvind Kejriwal- AAP in the Delhi polls.
The AAP, which made a clean sweep of the Delhi assembly polls yesterday, winning 67 of the 70 seats on offer and decimated rivals BJP and Congress, had however, rejected Bukhari's pledge of support.
