New Delhi: A 23-year-old woman was attacked here with a knife by her jilted lover, police said on Saturday. The accused is on the run.
Puja, who was studying in Class 12 through distance education, was attacked with a knife by her lover Sandeep, 26, in east Delhi's GTB Enclave area around 8.50 pm on Friday, police said.
"The victim received injury on face. A case of attempt to murder has been registered against the accused who is still on the run," said a police officer.
The reason behind the incident is yet be ascertained, police said.
Initial investigation revealed that both the victim and the accused had broken up after an affair, police said.
