New Delhi: With no rains in the past two days, the water level in Yamuna receded on Sunday but the river continued to flow above danger level at 205.32 metres as Haryana released another 32,000 cusecs of water.

The water level came down to 205.32 m from yesterday's 205.96 m. The danger mark of 204.83 metres was crossed on August 21, officials from Flood Control Department said.

Haryana has released nearly 32,000 cusecs of water into the river today.

Authorities have so far evacuated nearly 2,000 people from low-lying areas along the river and set up 169 relief camps to provide shelter to them.

The city government has already deployed 57 boats, 68 divers and a unit of Disaster Management Force.
