New Delhi: Youth Congress workers on Wednesday held a protest outside Home Minister Rajnath Singh's residence here demanding justice for an acid attack victim.

The protesters shouted slogans against the NDA government accusing it of failing to ensure security for women in the national capital.

Two unidentified assailants had thrown acid on a 30-year-old woman doctor at a crowded marketplace in West Delhi's Rajouri Garden area yesterday. She is undergoing treatment at AIIMS.

"After more than six months in power, the Modi government has failed to take a single strong step to ensure security and dignity of women in the country," Harsh Vardhan Shyam, General Secretary of Youth Congress, said.

A group of activists staged a protest outside Delhi Police Headquarters at ITO demanding better security for women.
