New Delhi: One got graduated from a college
two months ago while another got married during the same
period but now the duo have landed in police net for allegedly
stealing motorcycles and committing robberies.

21-year-old Deepak wanted to impress his girl-friends
with branded clothes and joyrides while Pradeep (22) wanted to
impress his wife by presenting her costly gifts and
undertaking a honeymoon trip to a hill station.

Deepak, Pradeep and their friend Pawan (24) were arrested
by Delhi Police from Bawana in outer Delhi yesterday. Police
claim they were involved in six cases of robbery and vehicle
thefts.

A country-made pistol with two live cartridges, a knife
and ten stolen motorcycles were recovered from the gang.

Deepak had just completed his graduation from Jaat
College in Sonepat and joined the gang just two months ago.
"He wanted to gift costly items to his girl friends, to

wear branded and expensive clothes and shoes to impress them
and to arrange for motorcycle for joy rides with them," Deputy
Commissioner of Police (Outer) Chhaya Sharma said.

The arrested youths told police that they decided to earn
money by adopting some "short-cut method" so that they can
live a lavish lifestyle.

Pradeep got married two months ago and joined the gang
to commit crime to impress his bride by giving her costly and
lavish gifts and to make trips to hill stations with her,
police claimed.
