Melbourne: Australian cricket player George Bailey is confident that players involved in his country`s one-day tour of India will be able to quickly adapt to red-ball cricket before the Ashes.
According to The Age, Bailey is a firm favourite to win a Test debut in Australia`s middle order for the Gabba Test, but he`s not the only one in line to shape up to Jimmy Anderson and Graeme Swann with limited red-ball preparation. Bailey said that he does not think there will be any major challenges with guys getting back into first-class cricket, adding that they have all played a lot of cricket in Australia, having known the conditions very well. However, he added that the format will be different and the red ball offers different challenges.
