New Delhi: To address issue of water crisis in the national capital, Delhi Government is planning to come up with a long-term strategy to harvest rain water.
"Water harvesting can be a long-term solution to the problem of water crisis in the city. Every year, there is a flood like situation in the capital with the Yamuna overflowing with the low-lying areas getting innundated. Even roads get filled with water and we try to pump the water out of those roads. A lot of water gets wasted," Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said.

The Chief Minister held a meeting with the Jal Board CEO and several NGOs and experts and asked them to come up with a strategy by which the rain water can be ground recharged or stored.
"God povides a lot of water to the capital city that gets wasted, so I have asked the Jal Board CEO, several NGOs and other experts to plan something so that this rain water can be harvested," he said.
