Leopardess found electrocuted in Maharashtra

A leopardess was found electrocuted in Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) here this morning, forest officials said.

Chandrapur (Maha): A leopardess was found electrocuted in Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) here this morning, forest officials said.

The carcass of the leopardess was found by a forest employee during his morning patrol on Janala-Fulzeri Road, Range Forest Officer O B Pendor said.

Senior forest officials immediately reached the spot and found a 33 KV power transmission cable lying on the carcass.

The carcass was cremated after post-mortem, Pendor said.
