Virudhunagar (TN): Farm operations near Tiruvannamalai forest area in the district have been hit following reports of a panther and its two cubs on the prowl in the vicinity.
Officials said the farmers were not going to the field after hearing the news,and the women were not able to bring water from the farm wells.
People had asked the local forest officials to monitor the movement of the panthers and capture the animals.Forest officials said they were enquiring into the report and said if it was true they would nab the panthers.
