Buenos Aires: In a bizarre incident, a baby dolphin died after beachgoers pullied it out of the ocean for the sole purpose of taking selfies.
The sad event took place at the beach resort of Santa Teresita in Buenos Aires last week, after tourists yanked the mammal out of the ocean and passed it around like a trophy for photographs with it.
Ironically, the tourists, after carelessly passing it around, the young dolphin, which belongs to Franciscan species, was left to die on the sand.

According to Argentinian wildlife charity Fundacion Vida Silvestre, the Franciscan dolphin is one of the most endangered dolphins in the world, and is only found in the waters around Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina.
It is said that there are only about 30,000 left in the world.
