New Delhi: Nature is beautiful and so are the animals who inhabit it.
The world's deepest seas are home to some of the most beautiful creatures on the planet.
However, mankind, marred by selfish motives, only seeks personal benefits, which involves killing these priceless treasures of nature.
But then again, there are some people who will do anything to save them.
Whale Sharks are the largest species of fish in existence and have been classified as “vulnerable” by the IUCN Red List. While it is technically a shark, this “gentle giant” moves slowly and is of no danger to humans unless attacked or provoked in a specific way.
A rare footage captured by a few deep sea divers, exploring those waters where there is zero standard for fishing, shows a magnificent whale shark bound tightly by a fishing rope, that seems to be cutting into its skin.
One of the divers takes it upon himself to cut the whale shark free. Within thirty seconds, the rope is cut and the marks on the whale shark's skin is testimony to the fact that it has been suffering torture because of the rope for years.
The joy on the faces of the group of divers after freeing the whale shark is priceless!
This vulnerable species is of great value to Taiwanese and Filipino fishermen, who attempt to capture it, despite the prohibition on fishing in these waters.
