Maruti aims to maintain export at 1.3 lakh units in 2010-11 Kochi: The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki aims to maintain export of its different models at 1.3 lakh units next fiscal, which is the same as this one, a top company official said Saturday.

"We will try to export the same numbers in 2010-11 as there is scrappage incentive scheme in Europe, which will end this year. So we will try to maintain the same export figures as of this fiscal," Maruti Suzuki General Manager (sales support) Amitava Roy told reporters after launching the company's new green car 'Eeco' in Kerala.

During 2008-09, the company had exported approximately 72,000 units.

The five door, C segment (high-end) vehicle has been specifically designed for India and comes with a flexi design, offering 7-seater and 5-seater options.

Eeco Standard (5 seater) has an introductory ex-showroom price in Kochi of Rs 2,71,1994, Eeco A/C (5 Seater) costs Rs 3,01,994, while Eco Standard (7 seater) comes at Rs 2,87,989, Roy said.

Asked if the company had plans to export Eeco, Roy said "if there is a request from the export market, we can look at neighbouring countries."

The Eeco is India's first Green car among C segment vehicles. There are no plans yet to bring in the diesel version of Eeco, he said.

The new vehicle has fuel efficiency of 15.1 km per litre.
