Log on to cbseresults.nic.in for JEE Main result 2015 as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results on Monday. The JEE (Main) examination is for entry into top engineering colleges in the country. Wile the top 1.5 lakh students qualify for the JEE  (Advanced) for entry into the prestigious Indian Institute of Technologies, the rest can apply for National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other such institutions.

New Delhi: Log on to cbseresults.nic.in for JEE Main result 2015 as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results on Monday. The JEE (Main) examination is for entry into top engineering colleges in the country. Wile the top 1.5 lakh students qualify for the JEE (Advanced) for entry into the prestigious Indian Institute of Technologies, the rest can apply for National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other such institutions.

This year's examination – held in both online and an offline/pen and paper version - had its share of controversy as many parents and coaching centres pointed out errors in the answer keys of the offline exam.

Candidates who appeared for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2015 can access their results by filling in their roll number and password to access the JEE Main Exam results.

The result will be declared in two stages –

Stage 1 - Issuance of Score Card;

Stage 2 - All India Rank declaration.

IIT JEE (Main) was the first stage of the Joint Entrance Examination. The JEE (Advanced) will be the next test of engineering aspirants.

The two-tier IIT JEE (Main) examination was held for the Engineering undergraduate admissions to the NITs and centrally-funded institutes as well as a number of leading private universities and institutes.

Over 13 lakh students had appeared for the Joint Entrance Exam (Main) 2015.

The successful candidates will be eligible to register online for the JEE (Advanced) 2015 from May 2 to 7.

The JEE (Advanced) 2015 paper 1 and 2 (each of three-hour duration) are scheduled to be held on May 24, 2015.

The performance of a candidate in the JEE (Advanced) examination will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor's, Integrated Master's and Dual Degree programs in the sixteen IITs and the Indian School of Mines (ISM).
