Jalna: Describing the Congress-NCP government in Maharashtra as inefficient and corrupt, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Lal Krishna Advani on Sunday urged people to throw it out of power in October 13 assembly polls.

Speaking at an election rally, Advani said that during the last 10 years, Congress-NCP government made huge losses and had done to the state, what Lalu Prasad Yadav did to Bihar.

"In a democracy," he said people have the right to elect new government or continue with the present regime and people had suffered a lot due to the corrupt and inefficient policies of the Democratic Front government.

"I have seen anger and resentment against the government. Rural and urban people are suffering, farmers are committing suicide. Maharashtra, the state once ahead in industrial development is now lagging. The state has been facing load shedding for 12-18 hours each day."

Citing the example of Gujarat, Advani said that there is no load shedding in any village of the state.

The Congress-NCP government used money and atrocity as Lalu Prasad Yadav did in Bihar, he said and added that during Emergency, Congress jailed many leaders, but after the emergency it was defeated.

Lambasting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, he said, "Manmohan Singh has promised that he would control rising prices of essential commodities, but he failed in checking the price rise. Where there is corruption, there is price rise. Corruption is the cause of price rise and the Prime Minister had failed to check the corruption."

The senior BJP leader praised Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj saying that he was not only a warrior but also a good and honest administrator.

Dear Mr Deepak For the information of public, farmers are committing suicide in Punjab, Each new baby who is born today is having debt of rs.42000 n their head. Load shedding beyond description. Pollirticans are looting money with both the hands. Papers report that state has a debt of 63000 crores and still subsidies to farmers, free light what ever goes is being given to rural people just to fetch votes, pure politics. It is not a business and also no a Seva, but looting country`s wealth and making fool of people. Getting votes on false pledges and laying foundations stones of many project just spending few hundreds rupees which never take off. Miserable condition. Family business with communal brand party, sorry.

Absolutely right use of words by Advani when he equates the state-of-affair in Maha with Bihar. A good, honest governance can change the economic/social/developmental conditions/environment of a state. for e.g.(we are lucky to have quite a few these days) Shivaraj in MP, Shila in Delhi, Modi in Gujarat, Raman Singh in Chattisgarh, Nitish in Bihar, Naveen Patnaik in Odisha. While there are many contrast e.g. also. like Lalu in Bihar and Digvijay Singh in MP, Mulayam in UP. This Cong-NCP rule in Maha stands in this category. The state definetely needs a political change in affairs and also has to show the doors to Raj Thakeray to eye 2 birds with 1 stone. its the golden opportunity for the populace.

Dear Mr. M.Singh,

We have suffered all what has been stated by Mr.Advani in Maharashtra. He has correctly identified the basic problems affecting each & every Maharashtrian

Where is the question of communalism in what is said?

For your Information Punjab has been ranked No 1 in the Business Today -India Today Survey of the Best States in India. The main person incharge of this survey was Mr. Bibek Debroy the noted economist who also works for the RajiV Gandhi foundation

Please do not misstate the facts

IT IS SIMPLE PHYSICS,ANYTHING THAT GOES UP COMES DOWN.MAHARASHTRA HAD REACHED ITS PEAK AND THE MARATHI MANUS THOUGHT IT WAS BECAUSE OF THEM ALONE AND THEY [POLITICAL PARTIES]STARTED ABUSING THEIR POWER,AND OUR INDIAN BROTHERS WERE CALLED OUTSIDERS IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY,AS IF MAHARASHTRA WAS A SEPARATE COUNTRY.HISTORY HAS SHOWN THAT THE HUMBLE WINS AND THE PROUD FALLS ON ITS FACE.STILL THERE IS TIME, COME OUT OF SELFISHNESS AND LIVE LIKE A FAMILY.UNITY IS THE KEY FACTOR FOR SUCCESSSSSS.
