New Delhi: Ahead of the counting of votes for Maharashtra, Haryana and Arunachal Pradesh Assembly election on Thursday, Congress on Wednesday hoped that it will form the government in all three states.
"From all reports we have got, we hope we will form the government in all three states," party spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan said.
Natarajan evaded a direct reply when asked whether the Congress will ally with the MNS in Maharashtra if it fell short of the numbers, saying "only those parties who subscribe
to our policies, share our philosophy of a peaceful, sovereign and united India will be acceptable to us".
Asked to comment on NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal's proposal for a rotational Chief Minister in Maharashtra if the alliance comes to power, Natarajan said NCP was its
coalition partner and all the issues will be answered day after tomorrow (once results are out).
