Mumbai: Leading private equity firm ICICI
Venture plans to raise Rs 2,500 crore to float a private
equity fund, its CEO said today.
The fund, which will have a greenshoe option of Rs 1,500
crore, will invest across sectors, ICICI Venture Managing
Director & CEO, Vishakha Mulye told here.
The PE fund has so far received commitments worth USD
200 million (around Rs 1,000 crore) from domestic investors,
Mulye said.
"We have received commitments of USD 200 million so far.
This has come from institutional investors and high networth
individuals in the domestic market," Mulye said.
ICICI Venture is the private equity arm of India's
largest private sector lender, ICICI Bank and has funds under
management in excess of USD 2-billion.
