Panaji: Salgaocar Sports Club, who are yet to make a mark in the ongoing I-league football, may find the
going tough against an upbeat Dempo Sports Club, when the two
Goa outfits clash at Tilak Ground in Vasco tomorrow.
Dempo, who have seven players from Indian team and two
quality foreigners, demolished Mumbai Football Club 3-1 in
their first match.
Brazilian midfielder Roberto da Silva, their mainstay
for attack, would lead from the front, while Ranty Martins is
the other foreigner on whom Dempo will rely to score goals.
New recruits Anwar will lent solidity to the defence
while Sunil Chhetri will provided punch upfront.
Salgaocars have not been impressive in the local league
so far and are in for tough time.
