Real Madrid: Former Milan ace Kaka has claimed it was the Italian side's decision to cash Spanish gold rather than his own will that pushed him to Real Madrid.
The Brazilian joined the new Galacticos in a mega-deal that saw the Italians earn around €66 million from the sale. Kaka has spoken about his San Siro exit, insisting the move was instigated by Milan.
"I always gave Milan the responsibility to decide on my exit when other clubs made an offer," Kaka told AS.
"I liked Milan and I was always happy there, but then the moment arrived when our objectives were no longer the same and they sold me.”
"In six years many offers arrived, including from Real Madrid, but the club only decided to sell me this season."
Reports in Italy at the time of the sale claimed the Rossoneri sold Kaka in order to balance their books after pressure from the club's owners.
