Margao: Salgaocar would be looking to exploit their home advantage when they take on injury hit Air India in the 22nd round of the I-League to be played at Nehru Stadium.
Salgaocar, who are at 12th place with 23 points, one point below tenth placed Air-India, have earned a vital away point in Pune to stay two points above the drop zone.
The former champions are still without a win outside Goa so they will be looking to make the most of their home advantage by beating Air India, who are also a contender for relegation.
Air India coming off a string of three draws at home and a humiliating defeat at the hands of Mohun Bagan have not done much favour to their confidence.
The injuries to four of their regular players have hit them hard.
The Mumbai club need to step up and ensure that they are safe with victory as that will more or less put them in a relatively comfortable spot.
Yusuf Ansari's side did win the reverse fixture at the Cooperage earlier in the season and so will be looking to boost their survival hopes by doing the double.
