London: Croatian striker Luka Modric has been urged to sort out his future soon so that Tottenham's new season is not disrupted.
The Croatian is desperate to join Chelsea and has already handed in a transfer request, a daily reports.
But coach Kevin Bond, speaking after Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Kaizer Chiefs, said: "It is difficult and it is a situation that Luka needs to clear up with the chairman. We need the season to get underway with everyone pulling in the same direction. The chairman has made it clear he will not allow Luka to leave."
