Kolkata: Southern Samity clinched a semifinal berth after a 1-1 draw with Mohammadan Sporting in the IFA Shield at Yuba Bharati Krirangan on Tuesday.
After a goal-less first-half, Jamir Ali Mondol gave Southern Samity the lead in the 63rd minute. Looking good for their third successive win, Southern Samity were, however, held as Mohammadan Sporting bounced back through Christopher Chizoba's 83rd minute strike.
Leaders Southern Samity now have seven points from three matches, while Mohammadan Sporting have 5 from four.
