Pune, May 27: Broken pieces of ancient pottery,
which according to a history researcher here date back to over
2000 years, have been found at a construction site here
recently when the digging work for foundation was on.
The objects, recovered from 15 to 20 ft deep trench at
Budhwar Peth area are believed to belong to human habitation
during the Satvahan king dynasty, Pandurang Balkawde who is
studying the city's historical past, has claimed.
Balkawde said similar looking objects were found in
Kasaba Peth area of the city a few years ago which were
related to the same period after carbon dating method.
The same method will be used to determine the status of
the recently found articles, he added.
