Bhopal: With trends of Lok Sabha polls projecting a big victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), its senior leader Sushma Swaraj on Friday said that it is an emphatic win for her party.

Addressing the media, Swaraj said that though the BJP fought the elections in alliance with other parties, but the win is solely of the BJP.
When asked about her comments on the poor performance of the Congress, the BJP leader refused to write off the Grand Old Party but maintained that as far as Elections 2104 are concerned, the ruling party is finished.

When asked whether she will be a part of the Narendra Modi led Cabinet, a visibly uncomfortable Swaraj said that such questions are hypothetical.
“It is BJP`s victory; it will be the Prime Minister`s prerogative to choose who will be in his Cabinet,” Swaraj said in his brief response.

The Vidisha MP also expressed her gratitude to the BJP karyakartas on Twitter.

Swaraj, who was strongly opposed to Modi`s appointment as the party`s prime minsiterial candidate said that she had congratulated the Gujarat Chief Minister.

She also said that the BJP`s perforamnce in these elections were bigger than what happened in 1977 elections.

Reports suggest that Swaraj is expected to get the charge of Foreign Ministry. Sushma is most suited for the Foreign Ministry portfolio given her vast experience in the Parliament in handling critical issues.
