Jaipur: Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday slammed BJP over its allegations against Robert Vadra as "bogus and baseless" and said there was no partiality done by his government in any alleged land deal.

"BJP`s senior leader Ravi Shankar Prasad`s allegation that the government did partiality with reference to alleged land deals to Vadra are bogus and baseless," Gehlot said in a statement here.

"In my tenure as Chief Minister of Rajasthan, no help or favour was extended to Vadra, nor Vadra made any request to his government in this regard," Gehlot added.
Quoting the state administration`s reports sought during his tenure, Gehlot said the companies (related to Vadra) that bought land neither fell into ceiling act nor there was any violation of laws and rules.

In Jaisalmer, Barmer and Bikaner there were lakh of Beegha of land being bought for wind and solar power projects by companies, and no one has made any complaint to his knowledge so far, Gehlot alleged.
"If there is any probe, then Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje`s son and MP Dushyant Singh`s Dholpur Mahal and other property assets in Delhi and Lucknow should be probed by a sitting judge of the high court so that there should be a transparency," he demanded.
