General Elections 2014: PM Manmohan Singh to complete his term in Rajya Sabha

Even though Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has declared that he is not in the race for a third term in office, he will reportedly continue to retain his seat and complete his term in the Rajya Sabha.

New Delhi: Even though Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has declared that he is not in the race for a third term in office, he will reportedly continue to retain his seat and complete his term in the Rajya Sabha.

The term of PM`s Rajya Sabha membership ends in 2018.

After serving as the PM for 10 years, Singh declared his retirement and said that he will not be a candidate for the top post even if the UPA government comes back to power.
Meanwhile, the PM will be shifting to a bungalow in Motilal Nehru road before Lok Sabha results where renovation work is being carried out out by CPWD presently.
Former Delhi chief Minister Sheila Dikshit was staying in the bungalow which was constructed in 1920 and has four bedrooms and a biodiversity park.
