New Delhi: With the poll battle heating up, Law Minister Kapil Sibal on Wednesday lodged a complaint with the Election Commission against the BJP and its leader Subramanian Swamy.
Accusing Sibal of "wilfully" not disclosing details of companies owned by his wife in his election affidavit, Swamy had on Saturday approached the Election Commission seeking action against the Congress candidate from Chandni Chowk.
Sibal had rejected the charge. He has now urged the EC to file FIR against Swamy for his comments on him and his wife.
Hitting out at Sibal, Swamy, on microblogging website Twitter, tweeted:
Sibal has given fudged answers to my question of law on why he failed to disclose in his affidavit his wife shares in three companies

In a petition to Election Commissioner HS Brahma, Swamy had alleged that Sibal has "wilfully failed to disclose" in his affidavit the assets and liabilities details of at least three companies owned by his wife.
"The failure to disclose these companies especially since they are of substantial assets, is a serious perjury under the criminal law...please forward this complaint with the Election Commission`s recommendation to the magistrate concerned to take cognisance and issue due process," Swamy said in his petition.
