New Delhi: After casting vote for veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader on Wednesday, party`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi said that the time is up for the government of the mother-son duo. “Maa-bete ki sarkar toh gayi (time up for the mother-son government) and it can`t be saved,” Modi said. He further said that the foundation for the new government has been laid and the people will now vote for a stable and strong government. He further told the voters to remember the Nirbhaya incident and the plight of the farmers. Meanwhile, looks like the differences between the Modi and Advani are a thing of the past now. Ahead of casting his vote for Advani in Gandhinagar, Modi tweeted that he felt blessed and fortunate to be a voter in the parliamentary constituency of the veteran leader. Modi cast his vote at Nishan Vidhyalaya, near Achhaleshwar Mahadev in Ranip area in the city. While the issues between Advani and the Gujarat Chief Minister appear to be sorted now, the veteran leader was earlier against Modi being named as the party`s prime ministerial candidate and even wrote a letter to BJP president Rajnath Singh condemning the party`s functioning. Advani wanted to contest elections from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh while his party wanted him to fight polls from Gandhinagar seat in Gujarat. However, both the leaders later came together with Advani even endorsing Modi as a prime ministerial candidate on a public platform. While addressing a rally in Maharashtra, Advani had said that voting for Modi as the prime minister would ensure a good government and would bring change in the country.
