Modi most popular for PM`s post in Karnataka, Kerala prefers Rahul: Zee-Taleem Poll Survey

Bharatiya Janata Party`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi emerged as the preferred choice for the PM`s post in the state of Karnataka, whereas Congress` Rahul Gandhi was Kerala`s preferred choice in a pre-poll survey conducted by Zee Media Corp commissioned through Taleem Research Foundation.

Zee Media Bureau New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi emerged as the preferred choice for the PM`s post in the state of Karnataka, whereas Congress` Rahul Gandhi was Kerala`s preferred choice in a pre-poll survey conducted by Zee Media Corp commissioned through Taleem Research Foundation. In Karnataka, Narendra Modi is considered to be the best prime minister candidate by 45.7 percent voters whereas Rahul Gandhi is rated best by 25.6 percent. However, only 35.5 percent voters are of the view that BJP would form government after the 16th Lok Sabha Elections 2014. The projection is within 95 percent confidence level or +/- 5 percent margin of error. INC (Indian National Congress) ranked first among the political parties to which as much as 36.3 percent of voters indicated favouring in Lok Sabha elections 2014. BJP was the choice of 35.5 percent voters. The poor third preference recorded was Janata Dal (Secular) (8.8 percent). The survey was conducted with sample size of 720 voters. In Kerala, Rahul Gandhi is considered to be the best prime ministerial candidate by 33.3 percent, whereas Narendra Modi is favoured by 9.2 percent voters. However, 30.7% respondents were still undecided and 21.5% respondents chose `Others` as their favourite PM candidate after the 16th Lok Sabha Elections 2014. The projection is within 95 percent confidence level or +/- 5 percent margin of error.
