Patna: LJP President and BJP ally Ram Vilas Paswan has mentioned his second wife in the nomination papers filed from Bihar`s Hajipur Parliamentary constituency but there is no reference to his first wife.
In the poll affidavit filed by the 67-year-old leader, Paswan has given the name of Reena Paswan in the column meant to declare spouse`s assets but there is no mention of Rajkumari Devi, who has been his wife for over four decades.
Paswan`s name is mentioned at serial number 611 of the voters list of booth number 5 under Alauli assembly segment of Khagaria Lok Sabha constituency followed by that of Rajkumari at 612 and Reena at 613. The LJP leader figures as husband in both the entries.
His daughter Nisha and actor-turned-politican son Chirag are mentioned at serial number 614 and 615. The house number mentioned for all these five voters is also the same.
Though Paswan could not be reached by PTI despite several calls , an LJP source said that he had not been mentioning his first wife`s name for the last several elections including the 2009 Lok Sabha and 2010 Rajya Sabha polls.
