Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party on Saturday hit back at BJP leader Amit Shah for accusing its workers of booth capturing during the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
“Whenever someone loses, he/she makes these kind of allegations,” said SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav.
Another SP leader Gayatri Prajapati said, “It`s just frustration on their part.”
Amit Shah, a close aide of BJP`s prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi, had claimed that SP workers were involved in booth capturing.
This morning too, he repeated the allegations and appealed the Election Commission to send more troops to Uttar Pradesh.
“For the last two phases, there should be more paramilitary troops, micro observers and cameras in all polling booths,” Shah said, as per ANI.
Meanwhile, SP workers today held protests at the Jantar Mantar in the national capital demanding the EC to lift ban on their leader Azam Khan.
The EC had banned Khan from campaigning in UP for making controversial statements.
