Panaji: The two prime accused persons arrested in connection with British teenager Scarlett Keeling's death on Friday claimed few pages from the victim's diary were missing.

Both the accused - Samson D'Souza and Placido Carvalho, filed applications before the court seeking to know about the missing pages.

Both the accused - Samson D'Souza and Placido Carvalho, filed applications before the court seeking to know about the missing pages.

Goa Children's Court today directed CBI, which is investigating the case, to file a reply to their application by September 3.

The teenager's body was found on Anjuna beach's shore on February 18, 2008.

CBI has charged the two locals of drugging, raping and leaving Scarlett to die on the beach.

The diary was recovered during the investigation from the room of Scarlett's boyfriend Julio Lobo.

Scarlett's mother, Fiona Mackeown, earlier last month identified the diary and its contents during her deposition before the court.

Scarlett's death was initially brushed under carpet by Goa police but they were forced to act after Fiona launched a campaign seeking justice for her daughter.

After initial investigations, the case was handed over to CBI, which has filed a chargesheet in Goa Children's Court against the two accused.
