Panaji: BJP on Monday launched their
fortnight-long `Jana Sampark Abhiyaan` in Goa, which will
cover 35 constituencies ahead of the polls on March 3.
Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley flagged
off the campaign from the historic Azad Maidan here.
Leader of Opposition in Goa Assembly, Manohar Parrikar
would be leading the campaign.
"The Congress government`s misadventures will help BJP in
the coming elections," he said, adding that the "double anti
incumbency" at Centre and state will work against the party.
Jaitley said BJP has provided a clear alternative for
people, who are aspiring for better governance.
Parrikar said this election has given another chance for
the people to liberate Goa from the misdeeds of Congress.
"There is an anti-Congress wave which is sweeping across
the state and it will certainly be reflected in voting on
March 3," he added.
State BJP chief Laxmikant Parsekar said, people from
various sections are joining the party ahead of the elections.
"Across the state, various leaders will be joining the
party in coming days," he said.
