Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar said he will expand his Cabinet soon.
"The cabinet expansion would be done before Ganesh Chathurti (on September 17)," Parsekar told media persons during an informal function held here last night.
However, the Chief Minister refused to divulge name of the legislator who would be elevated as a minister despite repeated questions by journalists.
The 12-member Goa Cabinet was reduced by one, after then Rural Development Minister Fransisco Miccky Pacheco had to resign, after his conviction was upheld by Supreme Court.
Pacheco is currently undergoing sentence for slapping a government servant.
