A day after the political drama over the resignations of two Congress ministers in Goa ended, campaign chief of Congress in the state Mauvin Godinho said that such incidents malign the party`s image.

the resignations of two Congress ministers in Goa ended,
campaign chief of Congress in the state Mauvin Godinho said
that such incidents malign the party`s image.
"Such incidents certainly affect the party`s image in the
state," Godinho said talking to reporters in the port town of
Upset over the disqualification of Churchill Alemao`s
daughter Valanka from contesting Goa Pradesh Youth Congress
Committee (GPYCC) elections, Churchill and his elder brother
Joaquim Alemao, both Congress ministers in the Digambar Kamat
cabinet, had submitted their resignation.
Back from Delhi on Tuesday, Churchill said that the
party`s high two ministers -- Churchill Alemao and his elder
brother, had resigned from the state cabinet on Saturday.
They also withdrew the resignation after meeting the High
Command in New Delhi.
Godinho said that such incidents will dent the party`s
image considering the possibility of early polls in the state
He said, "It is for the Chief Minister, who is the
Congress legislature party chief, to contain such damage."
Churchill said that the high command has assured proper
weightage to his daughter Valanka and Joaquim`s son, Yuri, in
the forthcoming Assembly polls.
Goa desk in-charge Jagmit Singh Brar, who is quoted by
the local media as saying that Churchill was not given any
assurance, was not available for comments despite frequent
calls and text messages.
