Pacheco`s OSD files anticipatory bail, fears arrest
An officer on special duty (OSD) to former Goa Tourism Minister Fransisco Mickey Pacheco, today moved an anticipatory bail in a local court here fearing arrest in connection with the death of Nadia Torrado.

arrest in connection with the death of Nadia Torrado.
Lyndon Monteiro, who was summoned by Crime Branch, said
that considering the attitude of police, he has reasons to
believe that he may be falsely implicated in the case.
Monteiro has said that except for professional
relationship he shares in the course of employment with
Pacheco, he is not concerned with former minister`s personal
aspects and life.
Pacheco is on the run after he was quizzed by Crime
Branch in connection with death 28-year-old Torrado, a woman
who committed suicide by consuming poison.
Monteiro said that he was summoned by Crime Branch on
June 06, 2010.
"When I tried to find out the reason for calling me at
such a short notice, police appeared adamant and rudely stated
that he is not supposed to question them and they are not
liable to give any reasons," the application moved before
Sessions Judge in Margao town reads.
Pleading for anticipatory bail, the OSD has said that he
will remain present before the court or investigating agency
or any court whenever required.
Crime Branch is investigating death of Nadia, who died on
Sunday, almost a fortnight after consuming poison.
Nadia, Pacheco`s close friend, was shifted to Mumbai and
later Chennai for treatment after she gulped down rat poison.
