banned UNLF and wanted by Manipur police in connection with
several crimes were arrested here, police said today.

Goa Police spokesman Atmaram Deshpande said Navren

arrested last night from two different locations here.

Singh was picked up from Ponda town, 30 km away from here
and Shahid was arrested at Arpora, a beach village 10 km away
from here, he said.

He said both have affiliations to banned UNLF outfit.

Deshpande said Shahid was working as a casual labourer at
Kundaim industrial estate while Singh was working in a hotel
in state`s tourism-prone beach belt.

"Both were wanted by West Imphal police in connection
with several crimes ranging from attempt to murder and
unlawful assembly," the spokesman said.

Deshpande said few of the offences booked against them
were as fresh as in the year 2010.

This is the second instance of Naxalites being arrested
in Goa. The spokesman said both were using Goa as a hide out
