Rs 80 lakh PGTI Masters from December 16 New Delhi: The cream of Professional Golf Tour of India's Order of Merit will vie for top honours when the Rs 80 lakh PGTI Masters tees off at the Classic Golf Resort, Manesar on December 16.

The event will feature PGTI's top 60 Order of Merit players from the 2009 season in a 72-hole stroke play championship.

PGTI Director Padamjit Sandhu said no cut would be applied after 36 holes and all players would be guaranteed prize money.

"Creating a year-ending championship is in line with our endeavour of creating more competitive playing opportunities for our players and acknowledging their efforts and achievements through each year," Sandhu said.

"PGTI Masters will be developed into a flagship event on the tour over the years, and will witness the highest level of competition in the country." Sandhu added.
