Ahmedabad: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal, who is on a four-day visit to Gujarat to check the development claims of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, on Saturday visited the Sabarmati Ashram.

Later today, Kejriwal will address a rally in Modi`s homeland.

The rally comes a day after the former Delhi chief minister Friday created a drama by suddenly demanding a meeting with Modi to discuss the issue of gas price and development in Gujarat but failed to get an appointment.
Kejriwal who toured Gujarat for almost three days said that Modi`s development claims are not true and there is a lot of corruption in the state.

"You claim to have have eradicated corruption. But when I met people here in villages and towns, I came to know there is a lot of corruption in your government departments," the AAP leader said, referring to Modi.

The politician-turned activist also took pot shots at the BJP strongman alleging that Saurabh Patel has been made a minister by Modi. “By giving Patel like gas, petroleum, energy and minerals, in a way you allocated Gujarat`s natural resources to Ambanis," Kejriwal alleged.

He also said that there is an acute problem of unemployment in Gujarat.

He also raised questions on the issue of corrupt ministers being included in the Modi government. Naming Babu Bokhiria and Purshottam Solanki, the AAP leader questioned Modi on giving Cabinet berths to minister, who have been convicted in mining scam and fisheries scam respectively.
