Rajkot: A three day "Chintan Shibir" (brain storming session) of Gujarat BJP on Saturday began at Sasan in Junagadh district to discuss strategy and decide the road map for forthcoming local bodies election in the state, a senior party leader said.
The meet organised at a private resort owned by a BJP MLA in Junagadh district was attended by V Satish and party`s national vice president Purshottam Rupala, alongwith party MLA`s and MP`s of the state, Gujarat BJP spokesperson Vijay Rupani said.
Rupani who is also Rajya Sabha MP said the aim of the `Shibir` was to highlight various welfare schemes launched by the Narendra Modi-led government in the state and to make sure that maximum people benefited.
The leaders will also discuss to improve party`s strength in the state and convince workers` role for state`s overall development, he said.
However, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi won`t be able to attend on the concluding day of the `Shibir`, Rupani said.
