Vadodara: A racket of bogus admissions to
the faculty of Technology and Engineering of the Maharaja
Sayajirao University was unearthed Thursday and three students
were arrested in this connection, police said.
K Bala Pai, Dean of the faculty, has registered a
complaint in this regard. Police are looking for another
student, said B M Chaudhary, inspector, Raopura police
station.
According to Pai's complaint, these four students had
appeared for the semester examination on the basis of bogus
fee receipts and I-cards in January.
After arrest, the students said that they had procured
the bogus admission documents by paying Rs 7 lakh to the
cartel which provided them.
