Canadian drug racketeer escapes from Vadodara

Xie Jing Feng, a Canadian of Chinese origin, fled from
SSG Hospital here, where he had been taken for treatment.

He and his two associates had been arrested after
Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) busted an international drug
trafficking racket with seizure of 30 kg of Methamphetamine
worth Rs 12 crore from a clandestine laboratory near here in
November 2008.

Police officials who were accompanying him when he fled
have been suspended, said city Police Commissioner Rakesh
Asthana.
