Ahmedabad: With senior BJP leader LK Advani
announcing that he would undertake a rathyatra across the
country against corruption, state Congress has challenged him
to start the yatra from Gujarat.
"If Advani has the guts, then, he should start BJP
anti-corruption yatra from Gujarat, only then, would he come
across the anguish in the minds of the people of Gujarat over
the party`s deeds," state Congress chief Arjun Modhvadia said.
Advani had announced his decision to take out a rath
yatra against corruption in Delhi yesterday.
Questioning the BJP`s right to claim a moral high ground
over corruption, Modhvadia said, "Former BJP president Bangaru
Laxman was caught on camera accepting wads of notes and now
the party`s prime minister-in-waiting wants to take out a
yatra against corruption."
