Ahmedabad: A senior police official and a retired inspector were arrested on Sunday for allegedly attending a party at a farm in Dholera town in the district where some girls were forced to serve liquor to guests.

While P M Sarvaiya is posted as Dy SP at the police headquarters in Ahwa town of Dang district, H R Jadeja retired from service as police inspector in 2004 and currently lives in Bhavnagar, a crime branch official said.

The party was organised on May 17 when four girls of a catering service were forced to serve drinks to the guests, but when they refused to oblige some of the guests allegedly misbehaved with them, said local crime branch sub-inspector A Y Baloch.

"When these girls lodged an FIR next day, we have arrested 25 persons for arranging the party as well as misbehaving with girls. Our investigation revealed that Sarvaiya and Jadeja were also present at the party thus we have arrested both of them today," said Baloch.
