Diamonds worth Rs 12 lakh looted from delivery man

Rajkot: Unidentified persons on Wednesday looted diamonds worth Rs 12 lakh from a man travelling in a
state transport bus near Jetpur town of the district, police
said.

Natvar Patel, working as a delivery man for Soma Rama
Angadiya Company, was carrying a parcel containing the
diamonds along with him in a state transport bus for Junagadh
from here, they said.

However, when the bus reached near Jetpur, three men
travelling in the same bus forced the driver to stop the bus
by wielding sharp-edged weapons and snatched away the parcel
from Patel, police said.

A complaint has been registered in this regard and
further investigation is on, they added.
