`Guj govt has no concern for farmers, common man`

Congress MP Kunvarji Bavaliya accused Gujarat CM of favouring industrialists more than farmers when it comes to providing basic amenities.

Rajkot: Congress MP Kunvarji Bavaliya on Monday
accused Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi of favouring
industrialists more than farmers and general public when it
comes to providing basic amenities.

"The Modi government has no concern for farmers and the
common man," the Rajkot MP told reporters after observing the
`Satkarm fast` to counter Modi`s one-day `Sadbhavna fast`.

"While industrialists get land and electric supply
connection very easily, farmers are struggling to get the
same," he alleged.

The BJP government provides all facilities to
industrialists but does nothing for local entrepreneurs, he
added.

Modi had claimed that the vibrant summits would create
jobs but the fact is that unemployment ratio has increased
during his tenure as Chief Minister, the MP claimed.

Bavaliya further alleged that Modi was misusing the
government machinery for the success of his fast, which was
merely a political stunt.

Porbandar MP Vitthal Radadiya and local Congress leaders
joined Bavaliya`s day-long fast held at Sorathiyavadi Chowk,
about 4.5 km away from the Racecourse ground where Modi
observed his fast.
