Israel explores possible business ventures in Gujarat

Consul General of Israel Orna Sagir Wednesday called on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and discussed possibilities of possible tie-ups between Gujarat and his country in sectors like agricultural technology and power.

discussed possibilities of possible tie-ups between Gujarat
and his country in sectors like agricultural technology and
power.

Modi told the visiting envoy that government shall
extend support in organising an agro-tech fair in Gujarat, if
leading agri business houses of Israel could organise one
here.

"Farmers in Gujarat are eager to adopt new technology
in farming and if the agri business houses of Israel can
organise an agro-tech fair in Gujarat, the state government
will support them," Modi told the visiting Isreal Consul
General as per an official statement issued here.

The Chief Minister apprised Sagir about the state`s
initiatives to set up solar desalination plants along the
coastline of Gujarat.

The envoy had evinced interest in states water
management projects, initiatives like Krishi Mahotsav for
agriculture promotion, and forensic science university set up
here, the statement said.

Modi also spoke about the revenue model of solid waste
management and waste water treatment recycling plant in the
state.
