Ahmedabad: A man was on Wednesday arrested for
allegedly hurling a shoe at a judge in the Gujarat High Court
after his bail plea was rejected, police said.
However, the shoe did not hit the judge, Justice M D Shah,
but fell a few feet away from where he sat, they said.
According to police, the person has been identified as
Ramaji Thakore from Kalol taluka of Gandhinagar.
Thakore was miffed after the court turned down his bail
plea, and claimed his application was rejected without a
proper hearing.
The man has been arrested and is being taken to Sola police station for further interrogation, police said.
