Modi forwards Shah`s resignation to Governor

Amit Shah, who is allegedly involved in Soharabuddin encounter submitted his resignation to Modi.

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has forwarded the resignation of Minister of State for Home Amit Shah to the Governor, an official of the Chief
Minister`s office said Saturday night.

Shah, who faces murder and extortion charges and arrest in Soharabuddin Sheikh encounter killing case, submitted his resignation to the chief minister earlier today.

Modi has accepted the resignation and forwarded to the Gujarat Governor for approval.

Shah, after being accused in the fake encounter case, has been eluding arrest by CBI which is investigating the case.

CBI had yesterday filed the chargesheet in the fake encounter case.
