New Delhi: Even as string of dignitaries and leaders of various countries attended Narendra Modi`s swearing-in ceremony as Prime Minister on Monday, his mother Hiraba stayed at home to watch her son take the oath.
Surrounded by photographers, 92-year-old Hiraba along with her family members watched the ceremony live from her television set as Modi was sworn-in as the 15th Prime Minister of the nation.

While Modi`s mother did not travel to Rashtrapati Bhavan to take part in the ceremony, she had always said that her son will become the Prime Minister of the country one day.

Even Modi had met his mother after the party`s landslide victory in the recent Lok Sabha polls and had taken her blessings in Gandhinagar.

She stays in Gandhinagar with her other son Pankaj Modi.
